I had a very frustrating experience at this dental office. I came in with a referral from another doctor and already had recent X-rays. Before my appointment, I specifically asked the front desk to confirm my insurance coverage. I waited about 20 minutes while they contacted my insurance, and they clearly told me that I was covered. I even emphasized that I do not proceed with visits without confirmed coverage, and they reassured me. After that, I saw the doctor, who took additional X-rays and told me that I did not need a root canal. However, when I finished and was leaving, I was unexpectedly presented with a high bill and told that my insurance does NOT cover the consultation or the X-rays, and that I had to pay out of pocket. This is unacceptable. I relied on the information provided by their staff before agreeing to be seen. If they had correctly informed me upfront, I would not have proceeded with the visit or the additional X-rays. Very disappointing experience and poor communication. I would not recommend this office based on the lack of transparency and accountability.

Dr. Yokota performed my one and only root canal on tooth #3 on March 15th, 2005. After twenty years, this root canal has held steady with no complications, infections or trouble whatsoever! I vividly remember the day of my procedure, how it went and recently came across my paperwork from this visit. The Dr. and his office were very professional. Hopefully this review gives a boost of confidence for new patients that you're in good hands.

Dr. Yokota is an excellent dentist. He was referred to me by my general dentist to do my root canal. Scheduling was very convenient (shoutout to Tracy who was very helpful). On the day of my root canal treatment, Dr. Yokota spent good amount of time to explain to me the entire treatment. He really removed all my worries and the treatment itself was very efficient!! He took an xray before and after to make sure it is done well. From time to time, he also asked if I am okay. I felt my jaw is sore after, but Dr. Yokota reassured me that it’s normal post-treatment. I just came to his office today for follow up to make sure it fully got better and everything was great. I really recommend him 👍🏼

Honestly surprised his reviews are low so while I normally don't leave online reviews, I wanted to take the time to do so in hopes of helping others find a good endodentist. Since I started growing teeth, I have exclusively only gone to my family dentist in my homestate. I had to break that pattern when the worst toothache of my life happened. I went to a dentist nearby, Dr. Shayesteh in San Jose, and she recommended I see Dr. Yokota for a consult. A few days later, I woke up at 3 am in excruciating pain and needed an emergency visit. Not only did Dr. Yokota's staff make time for me to come in the same day, but the doctor still saw me even when my commute from my job to his office made me late. (I'll add that his office can be hard to find since it's in an outdoor complex with a bunch of other doctors, so arrive early if possible.) Also, shoutout to Dr. Shayesteh's office coordinating with Dr. Yokota's office and getting them my xrays in advance. Dr. Yokota performed an emergency root canal, which left me in significantly less pain. The pain is not all gone, especially TMJ headaches, but I'll be heading back later this week for part 2 of the procedure. Really thankful for Dr. Yok

Dr Yokota and his staff are amazing! I had a tooth that had a existing root canal with a Recurrent-infection going on for a long time .. I was so happy that Dr Yokota took a 3D scan and educated me on my situation and even drew it out for me to understand.. I had no questions at the end of my appointment because he took his time and explained everything to me . I was able to schedule with in a week or two and my procedure went very well .. No pain after the appointment.. I followed his instructions for home care and I’m back to eating and feeling normal on the area he worked on .. I’m very thankful to Dr and his staff for being so caring and being so professional.. I will Send any friends and family to Dr Yokota office .. Sincerly Sara
